- This literary contest is aimed at students Year 7 through to Year 12 who are studying at public, private or grant-aided schools in Catalonia; and adults over 18 years old.
- Each author will participate with a poem or science fiction short story inspired by the theme of light, based on any illustration of Frank R. Paul. The story or poem should reflect what the author expects to be achieved with light in the future. Submissions may be written in Catalan, Spanish or English, and the maximum length is 1000 words. Form
- Each school may send a maximum of two student compositions per class. Teachers may participate in the adult category.
- The panel of judges will choose the three best compositions by students in Year 7 and Year 10 (ESO), the three best by students in Year 11 and Year 12 (Batxillerat and cicles formatius), and the best work in the category for adults.
- Prizes:
- Each winning submission will serve as the starting point for the composition of a song by an emerging musical group. A total of eight groups will participate. The groups may change the original words to better fit the music.
- The songs, along with the original winning texts, will be presented in a concert and in the form of a CD-book. Prizewinners, musicians, judges, participating schools and collaborators involved in the project will be given a copy of the CD-book. The remaining copies will be distributed on the day of the concert.
